7 things to know

Us August 2008
1) Live Journal only offers you a glimpse into one small facet of my life. I often journal when feeling strong emotions, be they high or low. You cannot judge me, my family, my friends, or situations solely based off of a Live Journal entry.

2) I could care less if you’re democrat or republican, live completely organic lifestyles or feed your children junk food, drive a gas guzzling SUV or live off the grid. What I do care about is if you’re making an informed decision and choose the option best for you and yours. If I think you haven’t looked at all the options, 90% of the time I’ll try to find a tactful way of asking that. I may offer my opinion on the matter.

3) I offer e-hugs often. Does this bother you? Then don’t bother friending me.

4) I’m close to the world’s worst commenter. I go in cycles. Sometimes I comment on every. single. post. on my friend list. Other times I can go weeks without commenting.

5) On a similar note, I can post multiple times a day. Other times, I can go days without posting.

6) I view Live Journal’s “friends list” more like a blog roll. I view “friending” as a magazine subscription. I want to read about your life. Sometimes it’s because you’re very different from me, sometimes it’s because you’re similar to my values and I want to read things I agree with. I don’t friend people looking for my next best friend forever. I friend for my reading enjoyment. If I get a friend out of it, great! If not, that’s okay.

7) Because of my views of the “friends list”, please do not take it personally if I “unfriend” you. I don’t make huge dramatic posts about unfriending. If you suddenly cannot read my posts, feel free to message me if you want to know why. I’m more than happy to explain, but I don’t just up and offer the information unsolicited because I avoid drama like the plague.
